This hardwood installation was completed in Raleigh, NC. The homeowners wanted to leave orange-toned wood and worn carpet behind. We removed carpet from the living room, installed 3 1/4" red oak, then sanded and finished the entire downstairs in a custom mix of 50% Jacobean and 50% Classic Grey.
The blended stain reads classy and even from the kitchen into the hall. It is a good example of what a local hardwood store can do when the finish is mixed on site instead of pulled from a stock prefinish chip.
