Our Preferred Flooring team can assist with moving some furniture pieces within reason. Additional charges may apply to areas with excessive or heavy furniture or any furniture that requires disassembly. We do not move heavy appliances, antiques, grandfather clocks, aquariums, pool tables, waterbeds, safes, gym equipment, or baby grand/grand pianos (most of these items need to be professionally moved). No, we do not handle the disconnection or reconnection of water, electrical, or gas lines. We recommend hiring a certified plumber, electrician, or contractor to manage these tasks before our installation team arrives.

Our team will do their best to fix any floor squeaks they encounter during installation. However, we cannot guarantee that all squeaks will be eliminated, nor can we be held responsible for any future squeaks.

If your new flooring is thicker than your old flooring, your doors may need to be trimmed for proper clearance. You can arrange for the doors to be left off their hinges so you or a hired carpenter can trim them to fit.

I wanted to share my great experience with Preferred Flooring that did an amazing job installing Luxury Vinyl planks in our basement. The install team was very detailed in prepping the floor that involved lot of steps including moving the furniture and appliances, removing carpet/linoleum, leveling off uneven areas, sealing the concrete with a moisture barrier and finally installing the planks. Surprisingly they did it in 2 days. The sales team was very patient and the prices were very reasonable for the material and labor. Overall, we are very impressed with the end results and will use them again on another upgrade project.Thank you Jeff, Scott, Miguel and the rest of the team for the great new modern looking floors!

Great customer service and good, helpful people just because! I just walked in hoping to find and buy a few pieces of matching wood floor for a small rotting section in my dining room. No one sells a few pieces so you'd have to buy the entire bunch! They don't either, but the owner just gave me 8 or so pieces they had lying in the back free of charge! I just want people to know this place is run by good folks.
